This print of a scene from the Bayeux Tapestry - entitled Harold hic Apprehendi (Here Harold was seized) - was brought to us for framing in 2016. The scene depicts the moment during the Battle of Hastings when Harold, the Earl of Wessex, is captured by Duke William of Normandy after being shipwrecked.
The artwork was already framed using a plain thin moulding however our customer wanted it displayed in something much wider and more ornate.
We suggested this decoratively finished moulding from our stunning Marais collection - 557593 - which has a unique French (appropriately enough!) Ebony finish and delicate embossing.
As the frame is such an important part of display, reframing a picture really can breathe new life in to it. Our customer was really happy with the result, as were we.
If you have a print which needs reframing, call us on 01246 554338 or email us at sales@bramptonframing.com for a no obligation quote.
