This antique print of a sketch of Dale Abbey in Derbyshire was brought into us for framing in 2016 by an antiques collector.
Together we chose a black painted pine picture frame moulding with red-gold detailing on both the outer and inner edges, with the inner gold edge creating definition between the frame and the black window mount.
Using Conservation framing tape - making sure only a tiny amount touched the artwork - we t-hinged the print into position behind a black window mount with a black core which allows it to really stand out and take 'centre stage' in the display.
To protect the artwork from fading - and to reduce reflections to less than 1% - we finished the frame with museum-grade glass which contains 99% UV filter.
Our Framers have been framing precious antique artwork since 2006, so you can be confident that we treat every single piece with the utmost care and respect, framing it to whichever Fine Art Trade Guild level of service you require.
