This delicate 19th century print depicting a stage production of Hamlet was brought into us for framing in 2017 by an art collector.
Wanting a statement piece for his walls the customer chose a period-style display for the print by combining two different black painted picture frame mouldings.
The outer decorative moulding - 373ib - is from our elegant Imperial collection, while the deeper inner decorative moulding - 457593 - is from our delicately embossed Marais collection.
Using our computerised mountboard cutter, we cut a window mount from a deep brown linen board with curved edges to follow the unusual shape of the print.
The frame was finished with museum-grade glass which, with 99% UV filter, will prevent this valuable piece from fading over time whilst also offering unparalleled clarity - with reflections reduced to less than 1%.
Our Framers have been framing precious antique prints since 2006, so you can rest assured that we treat every single piece with the utmost care and respect, framing it to whichever Fine Art Trade Guild level of service you require.
