This delicate embroidery was brought to us for framing by a lady who had stitched it in 2016 as a gift for her friend.
We decided on a palette of pale colours so as not to overwhelm the artwork: a barefaced wood moulding for the frame - 390300000 - which will naturally darken over time; and a pale taupe window mount beneath a cream top mount, with the 5mm reveal of colour beneath creating just the right amount of definition.
We frame to the standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild – of which we are proud members – meaning everything is reversible so that, should you wish to, you can remove your embroidery from its frame, undamaged, at any point in the future.
After stretching and lacing the embroidery around conservation-level mountboard, our Framers then glazed the display with anti-reflective glass which filters 70% of UV and reduces reflections to less than 1%.
If you have an embroidery you'd like to have framed please visit us at our Showroom in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District for a no obligation quote.
