Here's a lovely pictorial map of Derbyshire which, after having painstakingly embroidered, our customer brought to us in 2016 for framing.
We frame to the standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild – of which we are proud members – meaning everything is reversible so that, should you wish to, you can remove your cross stitch from its frame, undamaged, at any point in the future.
After stretching and lacing the embroidery around conservation-level mountboard, our Framers then double mounted it using a Snow White top mount with a 5mm reveal of black mount beneath, to create just the right amount of definition and tie in with the dark lines in the artwork.
A traditional-looking dark wood picture moulding was chosen for the frame, in keeping with the style of the embroidery.
