Traditional Decorative Fan Framed

This traditional decorative fan was brought to us to frame in 2015.

Our customer chose an ornate pewter colour frame which complements the fan perfectly, and a deep red sudette mountboard to create definition as well as drama!

As the moulding wasn't quite deep enough for the depth of the fan, we extended the rebate with a box profile moulding, and made bespoke spacers out of the suedette mountboard to cover the inner edges.

As proud members of the Fine Art Trade Guild (FATG) everything we frame is in line with their standards; one of which is to ensure that all framing is reversible. We therefore hand stitched the fan in place which will allow our customer to remove it, undamaged, from the frame at any point in the future, should she ever wish to.
