Sugar Wedding Flowers Framed

Our customer brought in the sugar flowers from her daughter's wedding cake for us to frame so they didn't get hidden away in a box at the back of a drawer.

Together we chose a timeless silver picture frame moulding which complemented the small pearlescent beads incorporated into the design of the flowers, and extended the rebate in order to accommodate the depth of the item.

Using a combination of white and off-white mountboard, along with a subtle 3mm reveal of deep green mount, we created a classic display which didn't overpower the colours in the bouquet.

We fixed the flowers in place using transparent thread, in line with the standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild (FATG) - of which we are proud members. This will allow our customer to remove the flowers, undamaged, from the frame at any point in the future, should she ever wish to.
