These three original oils were brought to us for framing in 2024, painted by professional artist Jane Roose.
Originally from here in Derbyshire, Jane now paints bold expressions of the Cornish landscape, working mainly in oil on board with a careful preparation of gesso and marble powder.
Our customer chose to have all three of the boards framed in a float moulding - a.k.a. tray frame - made from pine wood with a hazelnut wrap finish, from our popular Venatura collection.
The name Venatura is derived from the Italian word for ‘grain’ as the collection was inspired by the intricate beauty of wood grain. Combined with its square-ish contemporary profiles, it makes this range the perfect choice when the challenge is to find a ‘happy medium’ as it's traditional in colour yet contemporary in style.
The cube-like profiles can also fit inside each other – working in the same way as a slip moulding – so the frame can be ‘built up’ for deeper or larger objects, or just to give a picture more impact.
Elegant and versatile, this blend of traditional and modern picture frame moulding is also FSC ® certified.
Our customer also chose to have the artwork positioned so that it was flush with the front of the frame. (Alternatively, you can choose to have your artwork positioned so that it is "set back" in the frame; it's simply down to personal preference).
If you have a artwork on board or canvas which you would like displayed in float frame fill in this form for a no obligation quote.
