This is an original piece of art by Brian Bent - a self-taught artist from the U.S. with a distinctive energetic style - brought to us for framing in 2024.

This bold, colourful painting on board is his interpretation of the Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs which is famous for appearing in Poolside Gossip - an iconic photograph of 1970’s California society, taken by celebrity photographer, Slim Aarons.

Together with the customer we chose a pine float frame - a.k.a. tray frame - with an oak veneer, the colour of which ties in well with the colours in the picture without drawing the eye away from the focus of the display.
