Float Frame for Painting on Canvas by La Galerie Monterrebout

Here's a beautiful acrylic on canvas by La Galerie Monterrebout called Dandelions in the Grass, brought to us here in 2024, pre-stretched and ready to frame.

Our customer bought it from the Gallery Cafe in Bakewell, where they exhibit lots of paintings and photographs - often of views in the Peak District - by well-established local artists, as well as new and emerging talent.

Together we chose a float frame - a.k.a. tray frame - using a picture frame moulding with a white painted finish - 638127000. As the name suggests, this style of frame allows the artwork to sit inside the frame so that its outer edges are visible rather than covered under the rebate of a conventional-style moulding.

Our customer chose to have a 1cm shadow gap surrounding the artwork. (Alternatively you can choose to have your artwork placed right up to the inner edges of the frame i.e. without a shadow gap; it's simply down to personal preference).
