Picture frame moulding slips are decorative inserts designed to enhance the look and depth of a finished frame. They sit just inside the main moulding, adding an elegant inner border or helping to create spacing between artwork and glazing.

While slips offer a refined finishing touch and can elevate the overall presentation, they cannot be used to make a complete frame on their own; they’re strictly supplementary components meant to be paired with a full outer moulding.
