It was the best of the best for this original watercolour of a French farmhouse by English artist Roger Fry, brought to us for remounting and reframing in 2024.
Our customer wanted this valuable artwork, painted in 1915, to be framed to the Fine Art Trade Guild’s top standard of framing. The Level One Standard, also known as museum grade framing, provides ultimate protection using conservation methods and the best quality conservation materials.

The mountboard is made from 100% cotton fibres, pH 7.0 and free from elements such as lignin, sulphur and optical brightening agents which can cause the board to discolour over time.
The glass is an ultra-clear low-iron substrate with 99% protection from UV light, making it the clearest museum-grade glass available. It also reduces reflections to less than 1% for unparalleled clarity.
Our customer's thoughts? "Very happy with the outcome - a work like this deserves a frame to match its age and quality."
