Framed Watercolour by Desmond Brophy

Here are ‘before and after’ photos from the reframing of a much-loved watercolour which had been hanging on our customer’s sitting room wall but – after having re-decorated – needed refreshing to tie in with the new décor.

So, we went from a gold frame with a cream mount and a gold wash line to a more contemporary silver moulding with an off-white mount and a silver washline, finished with UV glass to help prevent fading.

Reframing a painting really can give it a new lease of life.
