Dark seascape painting - Gold frame

This oil painting on board was brought in for framing a few years ago and we really loved it. The dark, dramatic colours work really well with the bespoke gold frame that was chosen.

Unfortunately, this moulding had now been discontinued but we have plenty of gold leaf mouldings which can be made into bespoke frames. We chose to add an off white, bevelled slip to this to highlight the edges and this compliments the highlights in the painting very nicely.
