This collection of WWII keepsakes was brought to us for framing in 2024, and includes a cloth shoulder title denoting the regiment of our customer’s family member, along with four military campaign medals (and ribbons) awarded to British and Commonwealth forces for service in the Second World War:
The Lemon colour top mount and Putty colour undermount (which the medals have been stitched to) blend really well with the tones in the photograph. In turn, these colours also work well with the picture frame moulding which – being a barefaced wood – will darken naturally over time.
Chosen from our Barefaced Oak collection, this particular moulding has a depth of 26mm to ensure neither the cloth nor the medals touch the glass.
It is always an honour to frame people's treasured items. Please call us on 01246 554338 or email sales@bramptonframing.com if you have precious photos, medals or badges you would like to preserve and display in a way they deserve to be.
