This small acrylic artwork painted in beautiful shades of turquoise was brought to us for framing in 2017.
We immediately found a colour match from our Confetti - but it needed something in between it and the artwork to create definition. With a watercolour (which would require glass) a mount would serve this purpose but for an oil or acrylic (which don't tend to be glazed) another moulding is used. This is often a narrow 'slip moulding' however, in this case, we used a regular moulding from our Coastal Woods collection as we wanted something wider; and the stained cream finish - which shows the woodgrain - works really well with coastal and marine artwork.
If you'd like a double frame for your acrylic artwork visit us at our Showroom in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peal District for a no obligation appointment.
