Map of Iceland Framed

This large antique map of Iceland was brought to us to be framed in 2017.

Our customer chose a 54mm wide pine moulding with a medium antique oak stain, wide enough so that once it was made up into a frame it would be strong enough to hold the weight of the map, window mount, backing board and glass.

We found a beautiful eau de nil colour mount which matched the colours in the map perfectly, and used conservation hinging tape to secure the map in position.
