Framed DJ Carl Cox Mix Album

Here's an LP and sleeve autographed by DJ Carl Cox which our customer brought into us for framing with one requirement: 'make it look awesome!'

We started off by designing a layout: overlap the unnecessary white space on the lower half of the sleeve with the vinyl; and add a silver colour plaque etched in black with details of the special memory to the centre of the sleeve.

Using our computerised mountboard cutter, we then cut a top window mount in black with a white core, and placed it underneath one cut from red mountboard with a black core which had a slight larger window thereby revealing the mount beneath, and creating just the right level of definition.

We made the frame with a contemporary black picture moulding with a satin finish; and glazed it with conservation-level glass which, with 99% UV filter, will help to ensure the signature will not fade over time.
