Framed David Bowie Ten 7" Picture Disc Single Set - Fashions

This Limited Edition 21-track set of ten 7" picture disc singles by David Bowie was brought to us to frame in 2016 by Mrs Rhodes, a huge fan.

We worked together to create a frame design which was both eye-catching but also kept the dimensions of the frame to a minimum for both aesthetic and cost reasons.

We chose a thick 3.5mm cream conservation-level mountboard for extra definition, and - using a computerised mountboard cutter - cut 10 circular apertures for the discs, and a further two rectangular ones; for the signed photo and a classy-looking plaque we had made describing the display.

We then chose a simple black satin-finish moulding with a bevel - to draw the eye in to the artwork - and finished the display with anti-reflective glazing.

As proud members of the Fine Art Trade Guild (FATG) everything we frame is in line with their standards; one of which is to ensure that all framing is reversible, allowing our customer to remove the discs and photo, undamaged, from the frame at any point in the future, should she ever wish to.
