Round Frame for Intricate Gold Embroidery

Our customer brought us this show-stopping gold embroidery as she wanted it displayed in a round frame.

We first stretched and laced the embroidery to eliminate creases and folds, then float mounted it on a blue suedette mountboard, cut using one of our our computerised mountboard cutters.

The vibrant blue - which matched the thread used to stitch some of the butterflies - looked stunning between the gold artwork and the gold frame, and created just the right level of definition.

Our Framers then used the same mountboard to create a bespoke spacer which kept the glass from touching the needlework, and potentially sticking to it over time.

Finally, we cut a round piece of our highest quality specialist glass which contains 99% UV filter and reduces reflection to less than 1%.

Our customer was delighted with the result, as were we!
