We had this very high quality reproduction of Amedeo Modigliani's 1917 Recumbent Nude painted in oils on canvas for one our customers.
Italian-born Modigliani was a painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. Although his portraits weren't well received during his lifetime, they now fetch millions of dollars at auction houses like Christie's and Sotheby's.
After stretching the large canvas around custom-made stretcher bars, we then worked with our customer to find an ornate gold picture frame moulding wide enough to create a frame strong enough for the size of the painting, and striking enough to make it the centrepiece they were looking for.
We've been framing oil paintings since 2006 so if you would like to know more, call 01246 554338 or email sales@bramptonframing.com to talk to our friendly, no pressure Sales team.
