We’ve been framing pastels since 2006, and understand they need to be mounted differently to other artwork i.e. with a gutter mount or pastel tray, to catch any loose particles which the artwork may shed over time (even if it has been sprayed with fixative). We frame to the standards set by the Fine Art Trade Guild – of which we are proud members – meaning everything is reversible so that, should you wish to, you can remove your pastel from its frame, undamaged, at any point in the future.
