Aluminium Frame for Papyrus
This papyrus was brought into us in 2024 by a lady who'd picked it up on her travels to Egypt, and wanted a very thin frame for it.
Our Clarke collection of aluminium frames - introduced in 2023 - is a great choice for a minimal 'barely there' look. It also worked brilliantly on the second, much larger, papyrus that she brought in at the same time.
With its bevel profile, this gold moulding has an almost triangular shape to it, which was very fitting for both pieces of art!
Normally, for larger items, we advise our customers to choose a moulding which has a wide profile so that once the four lengths have been mitred and joined together, the frame is strong enough to hold the artwork and glass. However, aluminium frames - thanks to their strength and durability - work perfectly.
The simple visual outline they create also makes them a great choice for contemporary pictures, especially posters.
