Spear Heads

These metal spear heads must have seen some interesting sights over thousands of years - it is incredible to think of the history contained in such a simple object.

We used black wire to hold these securely in place as they were a little too heavy to trust to our normal cotton/polyester threads, but we chose the thinnest portions to tie around so as to minimize the visual effect of the mounting. Coupled with a dark wooden veneered frame and crisp white background the sharp lines of the items really stand out.
