Rodney Lough Jr. photographic print

After seeing some of our previous work, a customer came to us with an inquiry about this fantastic photograph by Rodney Lough Jr. - an American self-taught photographer.

The print alone measured over 2m, so it was a huge job for our team in the workshop but we're really pleased with the result.

The customer was very pleased too and gave us this feedback!

'We used Brampton to help us frame a particularly large photograph we had bought from a gallery in the US. We found Martin and the team exceptional from the outset - they weren’t daunted by the project (as many local framers were) and offered some really helpful advice when we were selecting our framing options. First of all the customer ordered some samples of the kind of frame he was looking for. This gave him an opportunity to see them first hand next to the artwork and also in the environment it would be displayed. We narrowed the choices down after speaking via email and offering our opinion, and then arranged for him to come into the workshop and discuss the details with the framers.

The photograph was handled only when the framers had gloves on to avoid any marks or scratches to the surface.

We used a Museum standard mount board to surround the artwork as well as UV protected and low reflective glass to ensure no light damage occurred and the clarity was as high as possible.

A simple, barefaced moulding was chosen which works really well with such a detailed and colourful photo, the last thing we want is for the frame to be a distraction.

As you can imagine, it was a very heavy frame once everything was combined - the glass alone required two people to move it! As with every piece we frame, all of the framers were very careful with handling the artwork and worked to standards set by both the customer and ourselves. We are very proud to have framed it here and hopefully we will have more like this in the future.
