This painting was commissioned through our sister company - Barton Galleries.
It was originally painted in 1785 by Jean-Honoré Fragonard, a french artist and printmaker.
Our qualified framers hand stretched the oil painting on canvas around bespoke wooden stretcher bars and made sure it was tensioned correctly.
We needed to find a frame that was fitting with the age of the original and the colouring in the painting. So we chose this swept frame which is a bespoke design to our company and it hand made to order.
The frame was finished in a light antique gold colour, with a little ref showing through the gold which is a traditional look and ties in with the colours in the painting.
We have years of experience with framing - from traditional oil paintings to contemporary 3D artwork and prints, so please get in touch if you have a framing project for us.
