Large bespoke round frame - Velvet mount
This is a fantastic example of a bespoke framing project that showcases our framers' diverse range of skills.
Our customer had heard that we were able to make large bespoke round frames and came to us with this beautiful sunshine embroidery with gilded butterflies. The needlework had been stretched and hand-stitched in place to eliminate creases and folds, and then float mounted on a custom made blue velvet mount board.
As the bespoke round frames are all made to order, we were able to design the exact shape of the profile and have it finished in a colour which was complimentary to the background of the embroidery - dark antique gold.
There is an incredible amount of work involved in a piece of this standard and the customer decided to go with Tru Vue Museum grade glass to protect it from UV damage and also have the highest clarity possible. We offer a range of glass for our framing projects, so all budgets can be catered for.
Our framers made a custom spacer from the same blue velvet mount board to keep the glass away from the front of the artwork.
