Born in North Shropshire in 1939, Bridid's childhood was spent in country vicarages after which she attended Lincoln School of art from 1957 to 1959 and the Leicester Collage of Art from 1959 to 1961.
She started to show her work in London with the Young contemporaries in the 1960's and exhibited extensively throughout the UK have many paintings in collections both at home and abroad.
Brigid was greatly inspired by the landscape of Shropshire and Mid Wales where she made her home.
