Fabric art where a design is worked with a needle and thread can be difficult to frame. Our framer has recieved special training specifically so he can frame needlework and embroidery to the highest standard. The most common type of needlework is cross-stitch, where little 'x's are sewn onto a backing of cotton or linen using silk or cotton thread. There is also needlepoint, (commonly confused with tapestries) which is a solid design that covers all of the support fabric, usually canvas mesh, with wool threads in an even diagonal stitch.
If you have any needlework or embroidery that you think would look good framed, don't hesitate to contact us at sales@bramptonframing.com or telephone us on 01246 554338.
